Coaxial Arts is excited to welcome back legendary artist Ron Athey for what is sure to be an unforgettable performance of uncompromising vision and sound. Joining him will be sounds from Bat Noise, Dagger Wound, and MMDA, plus transmissions throughout the night from DJ Weeping Willow Tree and visuals courtesy of Alice Cunt. Vegan food will be available from Prisk Rios.

Ron Athey has been working at the vanguard of performance art for 25 years. Self-taught, his work developed out of post-punk/pre-goth scenes and begins with Premature Ejaculation (PE), an early 1980s collaboration with Rozz Williams.

Hailing from Los Angeles, MMDA makes a soundtrack for the dark underbelly of queer culture. Coming from their respective noise and industrial backgrounds, Peter Kalisch and Aaron December’s MMDA is a departure from their earlier work, allowing them to explore dance grooves paired with visceral walls of sound that engulf the listener.
