Temporary State only needs money to sustain itself for as long as it exists, which doesn’t have to be forever! It can be temporary. All of our learning materials are free. All of our procedures are open. All of our governance structures are public. We will not be sinking your money on a long term lease or bloated corporate staff. If we can’t raise the money needed to be the best version of this organization than we will gladly close-up shop and hope someone runs with what we left behind!

With that considered, below is the briefest explanation of where your money will be going in three categories: the first is what we need as a minimum, the second is what we will spend it on if we slightly overshoot our goal, and the later is where we see ourselves in terms of long range financial expansion.

up to $50,000 / yr
- Overhead expenses. (insurance, filing fees, bank fees, website hosting, software, etc)
- PA system. (buying new equipment, repairing old equipment)
- Rent. (storage unit for equipment)
- Programming expenses. (printing guidebooks, membership supplies for students, workshop venue fees)
- Fundraising expenses. (donation processing fees, fiscal sponsorship fees, lawyer fees for non-profit application, venue rental fees)

between $50k and $100k / yr
- Rental fees for hosting workshops and stipends for teachers.
- Renting a studio to use as an office, storage space, and workshop for equipment maintenance.
- Investing in more and better sound equipment.
- Hiring a staff member for general administrative tasks and to manage the workshops and collective.

stretch goal
- After these already lofty goals are met we would begin re-investing our money in supporting our collective members as robustly as possible by granting zero interest micro loans to do events only repayable if their event earns a profit.
