Class: Music activities

Instructor: Paul Loschak
Interested in hanging out and listening to blues music? Tonight, non-DJs and DJs alike will dive into fun musically-themed activities about how dancers hear music!
DJ interest or experience is *not* required! We'll dance to individual songs and then combinations of songs with an ear towards the musicality and atmosphere that each song choice creates.
All are encouraged to bring dance shoes. Those interested in DJing are encouraged to also bring a device with music on it (something with a standard audio jack, also known as a 3.5mm plug) and a pair of headphones/earbuds.
7:15pm - Doors / arrive, say hi, get shoes on
7:30-9:00pm - Class
9:00-10:00pm - Social dance - Any aspiring or experienced DJ is welcomed to play a mini set while everyone hangs out and dances. No structured activity.
Sliding scale $10-25 in-person admission covers the whole night. No one turned away due to lack of funds.
We're still rebuilding, re-envisioning, & trying out new formats, so this is still a Union Foundations event, and not an official reopening.

-Gender-neutral single stall bathrooms
-Soft chairs for sitting/resting
-Not wheelchair accessible - the venue is up a flight of stairs
-As much as possible for you, please refrain from wearing/using synthetically fragranced products such as perfume, cologne, and body spray (such as Axe) and fragranced hand sanitizers to help keep the space accessible to chemical-allergy & migraine sufferers. Most deodorants and naturally scented hair products are fine for the community members we're aware of.
