Join Gloria's 'Dream House' artists for an afternoon of making Valentine's Day cards to send to our chosen families—the people who help us make home, wherever we may find ourselves. Gloria's will provide card-making materials and we invite you to bring paper and embellishments to share.

Gloria's is collaborating with prison abolition groups Black and Pink and Survived & Punished to send valentines to those who find themselves away from home: incarcerated queer folks and criminalized survivors of gender violence in New York state. We will also be writing postcards to Governor Cuomo as part of Survived & Punished's #FreeThemNY campaign.

BLACK AND PINK is an open family of LGBTQ prisoners and "free world" allies who support each other. Their work toward the abolition of the prison-industrial complex is rooted in the experience of currently and formerly incarcerated people. Outraged by the specific violence of the prison-industrial complex against LGBTQ people, Black and Pink responds through advocacy, education, direct service, and organizing.

SURVIVED & PUNISHED is a grassroots prison abolition organization  dedicated to freeing criminalized survivors of gender violence held in prisons in New York. Currently, NYC Survived & Punished is focused on the #FreeThemNY campaign, calling on Governor Cuomo to immediately use his clemency powers to free people from prisons.

DREAM HOUSE is curated by Kate Gavriel and featuring works by Karen Lederer, Caitlin MacBride, Dana Robinson, Polly Shindler, Zac Thompson, Joshua Caleb Weibley & Crys Yin. 'Dream House' is on view through Sunday, March 3rd.
