Welcome to our Cloistered Halls. A place for nourishment, contemplation, and joys both silly and serene.

Speech can be a crutch, a whip, a dagger, a suffocating corset. While you are here with us, we ask of you two things: if you'd like to say something, please reconsider. If you need to say something, please whisper or speak freely in our outdoor courtyard. We will have many writing utensils and pages, as well as prompting note cards to assist you with your communication. You will be given a map, and the halls are well marked, no matter if you chart a course, or wander, be aware you might lose yourself in thought.
Please come with a desire to nourish yourself and to maintain your needs. We will provide shoe shiners to buff your beloved boots, as you will be taking many more steps. We will have tools to mend a hole in your favorite hoodie or hat. We will provide postcards, stamps and fine stationary, for you have many correspondences you could keep aloft. We will also have nourishing foods and warm beverages, to help you build all the energy you will putting out into the year ahead.
You'll also find reasons to giggle, guffaw and sigh happily. Please remind yourself that these joyful noises are not words and are greatly welcome in this space. Mimes will roam the halls, a grand chess set will be available for your engagement, and the "sound bath" is quite delightful if you can find it. Or simply relax on a settee with a cup of tea, enjoy some speechless performance art and flip through the pages of an art book in the muted company of others.
You may come as you are or as you wish to be seen. You may revel in time alone or you may come prepared with many finely poised quips written down in the days prior to pass to friends and fellow patrons. No matter how introspective or outgoing you choose to start the new year - please come be our guest.
We hope you will enjoy the first day of the rest of your life with us and find delight, ease, comfort, and a new perspective to take back with you.
