On April 24th join us at Mayday Space to honor and celebrate Latin American Indigenous resistance through film, music and action!
First we’ll kick things off with a couple short films highlighting the struggle of indigenous peoples against exploitative interference on their land. Then we’ll be joined by some special guests from the Newtown Creek Alliance and Rap y Raíz to share the different ways in which they uplift their communities. Our headline screening of the night is En el Nombre de Litio, a documentary about indigenous communities people in north Argentina engaged in active resistance against exploitative actors intent on mining their land for lithium.
