DJ Monk Earl

Born in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and raised between there and the Baltimore/D.C. area, Jase (Monk) Earl would have, at one time, gladly labeled what he does as ‘Hip Hop’. As travel and contemplation has brought him into contact with many different influences and helped deepen his practice in many different directions, at the moment he’s happy to just call himself an artist.

Yasmina Porter

Yasmina Porter spent 18 years as an adjunct Professor at Cabrillo College, half of which was spent with the Academy for College Excellence teaching mindfulness and MBSR. Yasmina is a Mindfulness Based Relationship Coach and Meditation Teacher. She teaches Mindfulness at Insight Santa Cruz. Sundays 7-8am Pacific for Patrons and Mondays 6-7pm Pacific for people of color on Zoom.

Yasmina is also a trilingual Fulbright Researcher, historian and performing artist, drawing inspiration from her interfaith childhood in Ghana, West Africa and rural Virginia. Her cultural lineage includes Christian, Muslim and Jewish practice, from ecstatic praise to quiet contemplation. Her work is dedicated to one on one human connection and reconciling ourselves with the divine, our planet, our community and first and foremost ourselves.
