Tigertronic, the music of Rohit Colin Rao, released his latest full-length in February 2022 titled Finding Equilibrium. Before Tigertronic, Rohit released Roots Run Deep at the helm of The Translucents as well as a solo LP, Code. He is also a filmmaker, having won the Best in Fest at the DC Independent Film Festival for his feature film Ultrasonic, which went on to receive theatrical and Netflix distribution. In 2016, he received a screenwriting grant from the SF Film Society (SFFILM) to write his second feature, Machine Organic, for which he is currently seeking funding. Delaware-raised, Washington DC-based Andrew Toy uses percussion as a starting point for composition and sonic exploration. In the studio and on stage, Andrew twists, distorts, and re-arranges the sound of the drums beyond recognition to create soundscapes that are both intense and atmospheric. By re-imagining instrument roles and creative processes, Toy has crafted a sound that blends post-rock, minimalism, world music, and electronica with the energy and spontaneity that is embodied by live drums. andrewtoy.net

My First Pet are the songs of Jack Lwin and the virtuosic musical powerhouses known as Joe Kwartin, Miles Devlin, and Will Strickler. The four of them have previously collaborated in Jack’s other band Thank You Lantern. Reel to reel tape collages and radio noise complement pop songs with subject matter that includes utility tools and brutalist architecture. My First Pet presents itself for your consideration.
