Fire Over Heaven kicks off a new season on Thursday 9/15 with "fourth world" collective Das Audit and electronics and double bass duo Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Founded in NYC in 2014, Das Audit’s sound alternates between structured collaborative songwriting and free-form improvisation, drawing on elements of jazz, minimalism, post-punk, and prog rock. They return to Fire Over Heaven as a quartet with Eve Essex (voice/woodwinds/electronics), Craig Kalpakjian (electric guitar), Dan Fox (bass/electronics/clarinet) and founding member Sean Keenan (percussion) back in the fold...The Hyperbolic Time Chamber (HTC) is the result of narrative desires entering localization. Time becomes elongated, one day equals one whole year inside of this room. The place contains extreme elements like fire, ice, and gravity. The further you are from the room's entrance, the more intense these conditions become. HTC is Tony Gedrich (bass) and Crystal Peñalosa (electronics).
