Angel's Egg (1985) is a groundbreaking collaboration between two anime legends that intertwines Mamoru Oshii’s (Ghost in the Shell) personal reflections on theology, existentialism and evolution with Yoshitaka Amano’s (Final Fantasy, Sandman, Vampire Hunter D) fantastical ink art style. A rarely screened and hard-to-find cult classic, Angel's Egg is an allegorical fantasy enriched by symbolism and biblical allusion, a beautifully melancholic film that ruminates on the tragic underpinnings of existence in a world untouched by God.

Duo Lumière, the duo of Robert Kennedy (The Flushing Remonstrance) on keyboards/electronics and Claire Jackson on guitar/electronics will perform their all-new live scores to Angel's Egg plus Yoshitaki Amano’s anime short film 1001 Nights (1998), bringing you a night of incredible sonic exploration and a feast for the eyes and ears.
