To mark the closing of her solo exhibition Crests Break, A Few White Horses, Blank Forms presents a performance by Áine O'Dwyer at our ground floor space (Blank Forms, 468 Grand Ave #1D).
Áine O’Dwyer's practice lies somewhere between her role as a vocalist, musician, accompanist, improviser, composer, performer, listener, “sonic Stalker,” and audience member. Her work has made use of her interests in found and forgotten spaces, chance, acoustic phenomena, the act of listening, and the search for alternative scorings through a combined performativity of instruments, drawings, space, time, memory, and the body. Recent releases include Green Ways with Graham Lambkin (Erstwhile, 2018) and the forthcoming limited edition cassette box set Tuning in Space (Blank Forms Editions, 2023), which carefully choreograph environmental sounds.
