Join us in welcoming filmmaker Gloria Rolando to Making Worlds for a screening of her film Alacran with Q&A to follow. Presented in conjunction with Woy Magazine and cinéSPEAK.

Note: The film to be screened has changed! Instead of Reshipment, we will be presenting Alacran.

Gloria Rolando is an Afro-Cuban artist and activist whose work as a director spans over 35 years. The film Alacran follows Havana's Carnival comparsa, discussing Carnival in both Cuba and Haiti and its connection to cultural resistance.

Doors at 5:30 PM. Screening begins at 6:00 PM.
