Join us to celebrate the life and mourn the passing of Susan Alcorn. Susan was a singular artist and supremely empathetic human whose music and openness touched many lives locally and around the world. Her passing earlier this year, days after a sublime performance at Rhizome, left many of us shocked and devastated. We will gather in the spirit of collective healing to listen to recorded remembrances by many of Susan’s collaborators from the years she lived in Houston as well as international collaborators from more recently: Tom Carter, David Dove, Phillip Greenlief, Damon Smith, Amanda Irarrazabal, Opie Hendrix, Bob Stagner, Luis Toto Alvarez. All proceeds will go to Susan’s husband David to help with funeral/burial and unexpected estate fees due to the suddenness of her passing.
