Nancy Manocherian’s The Cell presents, HOLDTIGHT’s latest work-in-progress showing, It’s not what you think.

Inspired by the cell’s artist-in-residence, Mikel Glass’, exhibition, It’s not what you think, asks the audience to question how they consume art, and in doing so, pushes the viewer to reconsider their initial impressions to not only see, but ​feel ​what lies beneath the surface.

HOLDTIGHT is an experimental dance theater company founded in 2016 by Gwendolyn Gussman that uses a multi-disciplinary approach to creating, teaching, and performing experiential and dynamic contemporary art.
