With Erika Rosenberg, PhD.

Life experience can leave us fractured, but we do not have to fix everything that is broken to find ease. We can begin by allowing the various aspects of ourselves simply to be there, by learning to give ourselves a break.

Self-compassion is a gentle self-regard and commitment to self-care, which urges us to treat ourselves as we would a good friend. In this 2-hour session, we will work with meditation, discussion and other experiential exercises to explore self-compassion as a means for self-healing. We will focus on ways of regarding ourselves that accommodate all of who we are—what we don’t want to see as well as what we value about ourselves.

Erika Rosenberg, PhD, is co-developer of Stanford’s Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) Program, Founding Faculty at The Compassion Institute, and Consulting Scientist at the UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain.
