Irwin Hall Organ Trio was started in the Autumn of 2019 by Irwin Hall. Irwin spent his childhood growing up in NJ at the tail end of the famed Newark Organ Jazz scene. The big sound of the organ and the raw power of the sax-organ-drum trio left an impression that stayed with him throughout his musical life. After spending 15 years touring the world, Irwin knew it was time to come home and pay homage to the legacy that gave him so much. He went on a search to find a group of musicians who could do justice to the sound and tradition when he discovered William Gorman living in his home state of New Jersey. Will's prodigious talent was unmistakeable. The two hit it off right away and the search was on to the find the perfect Organ Drummer to round out the sound. Irwin knew just who to call. Jerome Jennings continues to be one of the most in-demand and versatile drummers on the scene and has been living in NJ since the late 90s. The two have played together countless times since Irwin's high school days and have an uncanny synergy. With Irwin's expressive saxophone playing, Will's unending groove, and Jerome's deep pockets, the band has crafted the perfect mix of Organ Jazz, Swing, Blues, Soul, and Gospel.
