Baltimore artists Kristen Anchor and Rahne Alexander present a menu of old and new video work, including their collaboration “Pez Porno,” which became a minor viral hit in the days before YouTube.

Kristen Anchor is an audio visual artist, teacher, and musician. Her work has screened at film festivals, events, and galleries throughout the U.S. She’s extensively toured with films and music; and her video work is featured in several DVD compilations including ETC: Experimental Television Center 1969-2009, Films About Nothing, Hondance, and Creative Capitalism’s Notebook. She is a Lecturer in Media & Communication Studies at UMBC.

Kristen screens collage films, animations, and music videos playing with the intersection of popular culture, loneliness, and the self (often with humor).

Rahne Alexander is an intermedia artist and musician. Her video art has screened across the US and internationally, including the Baltimore Museum of Art, MIX NYC, FreeWaves, and the International Conference of Chinese Computer Human Interaction at Xiamen University. She is the vocalist for the rock band Santa Librada, and her first book of collected essays, Heretic to Housewife, was published in 2019 by Neon Hemlock Press. Rahne is currently a graduate student in the Intermedia+Digital Arts MFA program at University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Rahne screens narrative, performance, and collage work rooted in political resistance, transfeminist despair, and bawdy comedy.
