FLUX FACTORY VIRTUAL GALA
February 10, 7pm EST
Zoom link sent upon registration
In place of our Annual Art Auction, which would now be in its 14th year, we are hosting an online Fundraising Exhibition and Virtual Gala.
The event will run one hour, with the participation of Fluxers all around the world, hot news about the future of Flux Factory, a raffle and more. It will be" followed by 30 minutes of music by longtime Flux DJ Vinyl Richie.
We will be honoring two people whose work epitomizes Flux Factory's values and goals: Queens community activist Lashawn “Suga Ray” Marston and Visual Artist Saya Woolfalk.
The event will also include a conversation about art and an ever changing NYC with Saya Woolfalk and Flux Factory Board Member Natalia Nakazawa, as well as featured artworks from the Fundraising Exhibition, a raffle and more.
Thanks to Despaña Brand Foods' support, we are thrilled to announce that we will be offering three premium gift baskets and two $100 gift certificates for raffle at our virtual gala.
Despaña Brand Foods has been importing specialties from Spain to New York since 1971 and has established direct relationships with some of the best small to mid-size artisan, producers that represent the most select and high-quality brands from Spain.
Their business originally started as a chorizo factory on Northern Boulevard, in Queens, NY, and then they opened their must-go store Despaña (SoHo, NYC) at 408-410 Broome Street.
You can also support Flux Factory by buying one of over 50 artworks between $30 and $1800. Add some beauty to your home, and help Flux Factory continue to be a center of community and experimentation. While it may be awhile before we’re eating and dancing together in the Flux gallery, with your support, we can dance together into the future.
